Oil To Prolong Candle Life

Strike strikes London (part 2)

And so passed the evening and morning, strike the second day. Without major changes. I missed the peak hours from home before, and coming back for them, although I would prefer to use the opposite strategy. To London Bridge Underground Station, the intersection between the only two fully operational lines, could not enter. On the streets still a lot of pedestrians, cyclists, however, more because of the weather.

I also saw a couple of times as passengers in the taxi literally mentioned, I think that taxi drivers the strike did not complain ... although the cars around noon again practically constant in place. I read today that the free running ferries from London Bridge to Tower Bridge, which is not specifically a welcome convenience (these bridges some 400 meters away.)

I personally during those two days a lot has not suffered greatly, but as I said, my line work. Most people go out early from work, thereby compensating for the long journey. I wonder if indeed the loss of business amounted to 100 million pounds. Indeed, fewer people are working ... on the other hand, once considered the the issue of security drills. In addition to the weekly test of the system are held from time to time trial evacuations. It takes less than half an hour, but if you count lost time on the money is facing quite a large amount. In the case of a building, which employs 2,000 people safely back to the loss of tens of thousands of pounds. E, probably an exaggeration after all:) This remark, in high wierzowcach alarm is not activated at the same time on all floors, so there was no traffic jam on the stairs. I do not remember, but I first turn on the higher, because they have more .. Well, unless you have a fire so crazy that there is no need to evacuate them, then you can not turn at all;) Generally I try not to run over 4 floors.

still on strike. I think the strike itself would not be anything terrible, if not the size of London. Most people coming to London, believes that 40 minutes by subway from the center of it must be the suburbs. The truth is that London is a terribly big city. And actually, of Italy, as regards the type of building. Like living here all of a sudden 7 million people (depending on how counted), but live in such a low mud huts (ok, houses with brick), that stretches beyond the horizon is all. For comparison, the satellite picture of Krakow and London on the same scale (the height of one image is 50km, thanks to Google Maps;). To make it easier to find, have said Krakow.

advantage is that a person definitely sober on the way home ...

And yet I will add that Krakow is the black spot on the left, a large dark on the right is Nowa Huta (well I know, too Krakow).

Cough And Bloody Nose Whats Wrong

Strike strikes London (part 1)

Casual: As soon as you leave the camera in Krakow, organize an protests, strikes, etc. Today, some regret the way to work, I can not take pictures, but I consoled myself with the thought that the greatest in history reports are not illustrated (another matter that such Herodotus, Homer and Kapuscinski could make up the deficiencies visual talent; .) I trust that the reader hungry for visual impressions will be able to use the internet, which it directly images of flood.

So, today I had the opportunity to once again participate in the performance of which is paralysis of Communications in London. It reminds me of one of my favorite games, Sim City, in which one of the disasters were protests from residents flooded the city ... It seems to me that coped better with this than the current authorities in London, but I must admit that I cheated a little (you could demolish the street and put a new protest at likwidowało [ujących]).

Overall I think I'm quite lucky because the line at which I live alone well enough to function. Early-morning trip to work took place without incident, but no longer in the City at 8 am were the crowds at bus stops. Opposite Liverpool Street was at the bus st At least 150 people, politely waiting for chodniczku width 1.5 meters. On the other side is placed a long queue for the bus for about 300 m. Taxi still had not been so desired, the more that a little movement on the streets if they froze. You could see also a lot more pedestrians and cyclists.
During the day, the situation has deteriorated substantially, and even the next hour 14 buses were driving very crowded. But the real fun began with the afternoon peak hour. Especially I left work earlier, but crowds wróżyły not anything good. My car as one of the two still functioned, even at the station I could barely get down to the basement and I got stuck in a sea of \u200b\u200bpeople. Having assessed the size of the mass of people enumerated, that within 2 hours I have wasted a chance to get into the platform, so I began to walk to the south. Crowds of people on the streets did an amazing impression. As if suddenly the whole city has decided to go for a walk every street crowded as Szewska about 21 during the peak season of British stag parties. I got in the station of a bus, at the beginning of some regret (the bus moves more slowly than the bankers-zawałowcy), but a few stops further have never been to board. So I enjoyed the view from the upper deck and the fact that I had with him a book. Along the way we passed the river full of stops and people flowing in all directions. Somewhere on the outskirts of jumped on the subway, and even managed to stick to the first team, which arrived!

British (and generally, residents of London) have adopted the difficulties with humility. At the sight of overcrowded buses, instead tearing their hair and throw up hitting the ground with his fists in despair shook his head in disbelief, often with a smile stuck. In the subway similarly, despite the fact that the average travel time will surely be extended several times. I really do not know what we are here to dosypują water, but evidently it works.

tried to śledzieć information in the media seem to me as a rather subdued. A lot of cyclists brave enough to commute, although it was difficult because of the increased traffic. Schematic of sharing a taxi (a bit like the past in Poland) have not suffered so great success, it was that much of Londoners do not want to share. Crowds could also temporarily paralyze a few stations before Clapham Junction is placed a long line of platforms. Who could have worked from home.

Summary of the first day not quite the worst. Despite the lack of London Underground is still functioning, apart from some incidents (a brawl at the bus stop) I do not think nothing happened. People behave calmly and patiently for hours to return home. At the end of the subway map with the state of the hours of 7 am. Colored lines are not circulated (in the background you can see the gray sections of acting). I'm using Northern Line:)

Pci Express Usb Header

I'm back!

Ha! There's nothing like unexpected twists .. forgotten author of the blog emerges from the depths of the overcrowded metro to write about the wrongs of the people working capital ...

Today about 19 general strike began on a meter. Do not know yet exactly what will be its scope, but for now hold are two metro lines, three are in serious delays and some subway station is temporarily closed, mainly because of overcrowding. Most people try to make it home before 19 which is already making quite a stir. Therefore, before I was already a bit of the attractions that I'm waiting for the next two days. Workers are demanding higher (higher?) Increases, perhaps in the current situation is a little out of place (especially since wages in TFL - Transport For London - are really neat.) I think it will end in a general campaign against employees underground. Anyway, we'll see how many are really connecting.
must admit, however, that the British approach to the whole action with the stereotypical flegmatyzmem. You do not manage to get to work, if you have to stand in the crush hour na platformie- trudno.

Teraz tylko wspomnę o tym, że już widziałem pare razy osoby w maseczkach (dla tych co nie pamiętają, gdzieś tam jeszcze dogorewa świńska grypa), that 12 year old boy is the youngest but not the father, the elevator in the Tower Bridge broke the day after I drove it (was not killed), and that smokers cost the NHS (local ZUS) 5 billion pounds.
comment on this last information. This applies to the direct effects of smoking (not including passive smokers, the cost of care or financial consequences for the economy). Studies in Oxford, sponsored by The British Heart Foundation. That is supposedly so that if no one smokes, so much could be saved. Besides, I'm a little skeptical of this inference (In 2005 smoking was the cause of death 27% of all male and had not smoked it would never die ..? "I think that if not treated right now with this cancer for 10 years to die of something else) it surprised me two pieces of information. Apparently, government revenue from this sector amounts to 10 billion pounds, which, however, it pays to burn. Secondly, comparing the costs of other unwholesome modes of life (lifestyle issues). It turns out that lack of exercise causes the loss of one billion pounds (probably some cardiovascular diseases, etc..), Obesity is only about half the fuel-efficient than cigarettes, and now, NB, unhealthy diet is the cause of similar (to smoke) of expenditure in health care! In other words, choroblia obesity and sloth is much less harmful than a bad diet!

so happens I also received this information, I'll go eat something (two sandwiches from getting fat cheese, tomato, cucumber szykną and egg paste, then strawberries with yogurt and an apple if you can before going to bed hungry ... probably get away?;)

Remember 5 portions of fruit a day! : P

(Personally, I recommend still wine from time to time)
